Dear magix.info fans!

 

Starting now, you can communicate with each other directly without having to take detours like guestbooks or the "Questions & Answers" channel, because private messaging is finally available!

 

So if you want to say thanks for an especially helpful answer or make a couple of suggestions, private messaging is now the best means of doing so. Personal comments or others things which don't necessarily need to be published for everyone else to read can be sent directly to the recipient. There are thousands of reasons for you to chat with each other - you'll probably even come up with a few more on your own... ;)

 

To make private messaging as comfortable as possible, we have implemented a context menu on every profile picture. When the mouse is moved over a profile picture, a small arrow appears in the lower right corner. If you click it, then a menu opens which provides you with different actions you can use to contact the member:

 

• View profile
  Direct access to the member's profile 
• Send private message
  Send a private message to the member 
• Add/Remove contact
  These actions appear depending on the relationship with the member.
  The contact list is practical if you have frequent exchanges with a particular member. Thís makes these contacts easily available to you so that you don't need to search for your friends!
• Report
  Report the member to the editors in case the community rules are being violated.

Another new feature is the RSS feed generator for the different areas like "Questions & Answers", "Show & Discuss" and "Knowledge & Workshops". RSS feeds help you keep up to date about the newest posts and most current items as they appear in the different areas.

 

 

Just subscribe to an RSS feed with a special reader or with the corresponding functions available in Mozilla Firefox or Thunderbird. Extensive information about RSS is available at Wikipedia.
